Presenting Science to the General Public
is a 4-hour workshop on the basic principals of designing and presenting
a science lecture, demo program or school presentation to people
who may not be focused on science. Often, Educators or Presenters
work hard to create great science programs only to find that they
lose their audience. This is a great workshop for new presenters
or as a review and evaluation of existing programs. Participants
will learn 5 essentials for designing and presenting a science program
that will keep their audience engaged. This workshop can accommodate
up to 20 people.
Creating a Great Demo Show is a
4-hour workshop for educators and museum professionals on designing
safe and effective museum quality demonstrations that will play
well to large audiences. Topics include how to communicate a rich
science content while remaining entertaining, setting up demos that
travel well, presentation and writing styles for large audiences,
creating a big demo from a small experiments; even presenting in
less than perfect conditions. Whether your demo program is brand
new or in need of review, this is the workshop for you! This workshop
can accommodate up to 20 people.
Custom Workshops may be created for any sort
of public program at your school, museum or institution. Great Public
Programs attract large audiences, gather terrific press coverage
and, as a result, general revenue. Educators, Volunteers, Floor
